The Greater Corona Valley Chamber of Commerce is currently working with the Corona City Council to consider revisiting a city ordinance regarding business signage. On our website we have added a form to get feedback from our members and businesses in the community. In March, our speaker is retired Corona Police Lieutenant Shawn Dredla. She is the Human Trafficking Chair for Soroptimist International of Corona and she is also a marriage and family therapist specializing in trauma.
Her topic is "Modern-Day Slavery...In Our Own Backyard". She will cover how to identify signs of human trafficking, how to recognize if someone needs help and how to be more aware of this fast growing criminal enterprise in the world.

State Senator Richard Roth addressed the Greater Corona Valley Chamber of Commerce Legislative Action Committee this morning. Two main focus he's working on: funding for UCR Medical School and securing lost funding for the newly-formed cities in the state of California. He pledged an open door policy and his attendance this morning was truly appreciated by the Chamber.

This year, the Chamber's annual Holiday Mixer on Wednesday, December 12 will benefit Alternatives to Domestic Violence, which opens an annual Holiday store for children and adults.

We were joined by Assemblyman Jeff Miller today at Dart Containers Corporation for the Greater Corona Valley Chamber's Manufacturing & Technology Council meeting.
The Manufacturing/Technology Council (MTC) is strictly focused on manufacturers working for manufacturers. The objectives of the council include providing a forum for the sharing of ideas and practices, developing an environment of cooperation between manufacturers and our governing agencies, studying matters related to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations and providing a platform to develop successful business strategies and management leadership techniques.
The Manufacturing & Technology Council (MTC) meets every other month and is open ONLY to manufacturers. Meetings include presentations on topics of primary interest and value.
