Corona Chamber of Commerce

Helping Business Thrive In Corona

We believe that when businesses thrive, people choose to invest, grow and create opportunities in Corona. One of the ways we help businesses thrive is by working with policymakers to create a favorable business environment. Our advocacy focuses on three priorities:

  • Streamline business rules and reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens.
  • Make business affordable in Corona and California.
  • Put tax dollars to work in our city and region by advocating for investments that support our businesses, infrastructure and economy.

Throughout the year, the Chamber takes positions on legislation that impacts our business community. Because state policy often shapes what happens locally, we stay engaged and track the results. See the bills we supported or opposed and how they turned out at this link.

Legislative Action Comittee

The Legislative Action Committee (LAC) helps to lead this work. Chaired by the Honorable Jeff Miller, retired California State Assemblymember, the LAC reviews legislation and public policy issues that affect businesses in Corona, Riverside County, California and our nation’s Capital.

The LAC recommends positions for the Chamber and helps turn those positions into action. That includes communicating with elected officials, organizing letter-writing campaigns and representing the business community in Corona, Sacramento and Washington, D.C.

The committee meets in person every other month to discuss legislative developments and keep members informed about issues that could affect their businesses. Chamber members may attend these meetings.

See upcoming Legislative Action Committee meetings here.

Advocacy efforts are supported in part by proceeds from the Chamber's annual Legislative Action Gala. You can learn more about our most recent gala event

Legislative Summits

Two legislative summits are scheduled each year: once to Sacramento (typically in early May/late June) and once to Washington, D.C. (typically in early Fall). Every attendee pays a registration fee and is responsible for all travel, lodging, meals, and expenses.
